| 15/07/2009 : LAUNCH OF €10,000 PRINCE ALBERT II OF MONACO FOUNDATION/UNCA PRIZE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL JOURNALISM For the first time an international journalism prize - valued at 10,000 euros - will be awarded for the best coverage of climate change issues.
At a ceremony at the United Nations in New York on June 18, Monaco's UN Ambassador Gilles Noghes announced the €10,000 joint Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation/UNCA (United Nations Correspondents Association) Global Prize, which will be awarded by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on October 30 at the annual UNCA Gala Dinner. |
