I decided to set up a Foundation whose purpose is to protect the environment and to encourage sustainable development (...). By definition, this is a common global challenge that requires urgent and concrete action in response to three major environmental issues: climate change, biodiversity and water.
The increase in greenhouse gas emissions has lead to climate upheavals with disastrous consequences for the planet. You can limit the impact of your activities on climate change by reducing your emissions and offsetting them with MONACO CARBON OFFSETTING.
MONACO CARBON OFFSETTING is a voluntary non-profit making programme to reduce and offset greenhouse gas emissions. It is designed for individuals, companies, organisations and authorities.
The Foundation takes you through the three steps which will enable you to be a key player in sustainable development.
Estimate your greenhouse gas emissions
The Foundation will carry out a Bilan Carbone® (carbon inventory) of your activities or any event (fair, seminar…) using the stringent methods developed by Ademe (French Environment and Energy Management Agency).
Offset emissions by funding
innovative energy projects
Once you have completed your Bilan Carbone® and as a complement to the energy saving solutions proposed, MONACO CARBON OFFSETTING offers you the opportunity to continue the process by voluntarily agreeing to offset any irreducible emissions by purchasing “carbon credit”. This is an act of solidarity that will enable an innovative renewable energy project to be funded in a developing country.
Reduce emissions at source
Following the Bilan Carbone®, the most important emission sources are identified
and solutions put forward so that you can:
• limit your energy consumption and your emissions,
• use if possible renewable energies producing zero greenhouse gas emissions.
Estimate your emissions
By using the calculator on the Foundation's website www.fpa2.com, you can estimate the emissions you make when travelling or at home. Then you can offset them directly online and consequently reduce your impact on the environment and climate change.
